Willem-Alexander and Máxima of the Netherlands visited a shelter for Ukrainian refugees in Harskamp in the municipality of Ede.

Queen Máxima (50) and her husband Willem-Alexander (54) visited a shelter for Ukrainians who fled to the Netherlands to escape war in their country. “Last week the first 120 Ukrainian refugees arrived at the Harskamp shelter in the municipality of Ede. The maximum capacity of 950 refugees has now been reached,” it said in an Instagram post of the Dutch royals.

According to the post, the royal couple spoke to the refugees and heard their touching stories. The two expressed their support and condolences. “Children also told the royal couple how they had experienced the past few weeks,” it said. Two photos show the royals in a round of talks. The organization COA also shared more pictures of the royal visit.
