King Charles III celebrated the long existence of his foundation. He personally cut the cake.

Together with representatives of several non-profit organizations, King Charles III. (74) the long existence of his “The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund”. The foundation was founded in 1979 and claims to have distributed more than £70 million for charitable causes in the past 20 years alone – including environmental, educational and health projects.

In the garden of Clarence House, the king not only welcomed a few representatives of the organizations already supported, but also took the opportunity to personally cut a cake. Ahead of the event, they said they were looking forward to a “fabulous afternoon” celebrating “four decades of charitable impact.” to a picture of the cake on the foundation’s Instagram account.

The Corona Food Project

As part of the celebration, a new measure was also announced, the “Coronation Food Project”. Participating organizations will therefore distribute fruit and vegetables that would otherwise end up in landfill to people in need. It builds on previous projects the Royals announce on their website. For example, it has enabled hundreds of food banks and community centers across the UK to be fitted with fridges and freezers.

According to media reports, Prince William (41) and his wife, Princess Kate (41), only campaigned for a table in Wales in June. They are said to have offered to replace food that had previously been stolen. Local residents had also donated after the burglary.
