King Charles III: Monarch is “concerned” by Rabbi’s visit

King Charles III (74) received the British Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis (67) at Buckingham Palace on Thursday afternoon during a private audience. Of course, the two of them primarily discussed the terrorist attack by the radical Islamic Hamas on Israel and the consequences for the region. Rabbi Mirvis then thanked the monarch on X (formerly Twitter). After the “unspeakable crime” against the people of Israel, he “expressed his deep concern and support for the Jewish community.”

According to the royal family, the two also discussed ways to support peace between different religions in Great Britain. The two still have hope – also for peace in Israel and Palestine.

Royal statements after Hamas terrorist attack

The day before, the palace announced that King Charles was “very concerned about the situation” in Israel. His thoughts and prayers are with all those who are suffering, especially those who have lost loved ones. A spokesman for heir to the throne Prince William (41) and his wife, Princess Kate (41) already made a similar statement. The two also released a statement via Xin which they appeared shocked and hoped for early peace.

“The Prince and Princess of Wales are deeply saddened by the devastating events that have occurred in recent days,” it said. “The horrors wrought by Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel are appalling; they condemn them in the strongest possible terms.” As Israel exercises “its right to self-defense,” all Israelis and Palestinians will continue to be haunted by grief, fear and anger in the period ahead. According to the statement, Kate and William “carry all the victims, their families and their friends in their hearts and thoughts.”
