King Charles III attended a church service in Sandringham on Sunday. It is his first appearance since Prince Harry’s TV interview.

A few days after Prince Harry’s latest TV interview, in which he talked about his relationship with his father, he has now appeared in public. On Sunday visited King Charles III and Queen Camilla attended a service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham. On the way to the church, the monarch and his wife braved the rain and waved to the fans and photographers in attendance.

Charles wore a gray suit and a camel-colored wool coat. Camilla was dressed in a dark brown wool coat and a beige hat. Both protected themselves from the weather with umbrellas.

Charles spends more time at Sandringham

Since Charles made his cancer diagnosis public at the beginning of February, the 75-year-old has spent most of his time at the country estate in Norfolk, where he now regularly attends church services and greets fans waiting in front of the church.

In between, the monarch goes to London for treatment. Shortly after the diagnosis became known, I met my son Harry there: He traveled from California to Great Britain to meet his father and spent about a day in his old home. The first step towards reconciliation?

Prince Harry on his relationship with his father

Only a short time later, the royal spoke as part of a trip to Canada in a TV interview with the US show “Good Morning America” about his father’s illness and the strained relationship with his family. He struck a conciliatory tone. He found out about Charles’ cancer diagnosis directly from his father. “I got on a plane and went to see him as quickly as I could,” Harry explained.

“Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and see him and spend any kind of time with him, I’m grateful for that,” Harry continued. He is sure that his father’s illness could have a reunifying effect. But he also has his own family with Meghan and their two children. Nevertheless, he wants to continue to visit his family in Great Britain “as often as possible.”

King Charles has not yet commented on the meeting with Harry or his TV interview.
