Kim Kardashian is confronted with an unpleasant part of her past at the beginning of the new reality show “The Kardashians” – of all things by her little son.
Kim Kardashian has made many details from her private life public more or less voluntarily and has thus come to money and fame. But there is one big exception: In 2007, a sex tape that she had made with her ex-boyfriend Ray J five years earlier was released – against Kardashian’s wishes.
The 41-year-old (known from the reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”) is now the mother of four children. The father is the rapper Kanye West, from whom Kardashian is now divorced after almost eight years of marriage. But her past still catches up with her. As the “Los Angeles Times” reports, the sex tape that made Kardashian famous at the time is also a topic in the new Disney Plus series “The Kardashians”.

And in possibly the most uncomfortable way: Kardashian’s son Saint, just six years old, learns about the spicy recordings. As he’s playing on the tablet, his mother’s face suddenly pops up – it’s an advertisement for previously unreleased scenes from the video. Kim is preparing to appear on TV with her mother and sisters and immediately hooks up with her lawyers over the phone.
She wants to take legal action against the publication, also because she fears that it could harm her family: “I have four children, I can’t go through that again.” Desperate and embarrassed, Kardashian begins to cry, apparently upset by the thought of her children seeing the video.
New show “The Kardashians” starts
“The last thing I want as a mom is for my past to come up again 20 years later,” Kardashian said in the episode, according to the Daily Mail. “It’s really embarrassing.” Fortunately, her son did not understand what was going on: “I would have died inside if he had been a little older or could read,” she told her ex-husband Kanye West, whom she called immediately after the incident. Kardashian is now in a relationship with comedian Pete Davidson.
Kim Kardashian assures you that you have “the time, the money and the means” to take action against publication – but the excitement may not be inconvenient for you. After all, it was this very sextape that established her fame 15 years ago. Back then, the intimate shots were discussed in the first episode of the later hit series Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Now the family is starting a new reality format again and generating headlines with the topic right at the beginning – it’s probably not a coincidence. “The Kardashians” can be seen in the USA on the Hulu streaming service, in Germany with a new episode each week on Disney +.
