Why was the Grammy winner arrested?

The Grammy evening took an unpleasant turn for Killer Mike: The rapper was taken away in handcuffs by the police. That happened.
From the big winner to the loser of the evening: The rapper Killer Mike (48) was led away in handcuffs at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, shortly after he had won three awards. This shows a video that a journalist from the “Hollywood Reporter” published on X (formerly Twitter).. The short clip shows the musician leaving the arena in Los Angeles with his hands tied and escorted by police.
Did Killer Mike get into a fight with a security guard?
According to media reports, it is still officially unclear why Killer Mike, whose real name is Michael Render, was taken away. However, the US portal “TMZ” claims to have already found outthat he was arrested after a physical altercation with a security guard at the event. Apparently he was standing in the rain and the security guard didn’t get out of the way quickly enough.
As People magazine reports, The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed in response to a request that a male person had been arrested for involvement in a physical altercation. “At this time the individual is being interviewed by police and the investigation is ongoing,” the statement said. However, the official did not want to confirm to the magazine that it was Killer Mike.
An hour before he was led away in handcuffs, Killer Mike had won the three main rap categories at the Grammy Awards: The artist won best rap album for his sixth studio album “Michael,” while his song “Scientists And Engineers” with Andre 3000, Future and Eryn Allen Kane was awarded best rap song and best rap performance.
The Grammy Awards took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles and once again superstar Taylor Swift (34) was the winner of the evening. At the most important international music award, she was honored in the Album of the Year category for her album “Midnights” (2022). Once again a record: This makes her the only artist to ever win Album of the Year four times. Before “Midnights,” “Fearless” (2010), “1989” (2016) and “Folklore” (2021) also received this award.

Miley Cyrus (31) received the award for best single of the year for her viral summer hit “Flowers”, which won two Grammys that evening. The song of the year award went to Billie Eilish (22) for her Barbie song “What Was I Made For?” The song from the movie “Barbie,” which dominated the summer and broke box office records, also took home the award for best song written for visual media.
