The Hamburg band Kettcar achieved great success with their new studio album: it pushed Beyoncé to number four in the album charts.

Beyoncé (42) has to say goodbye to the podium again. Last week, “Cowboy Carter” debuted at number one in the German album charts, as determined by GfK Entertainment. Now the Hamburg band’s “Good Mood Is Unjustly Distributed” points out Kettcar the singer’s eighth studio album straight to a lower place. “The fact that we are going to number one in the album charts with Kettcar and our own small record company Grand Hotel van Cleef makes us very happy and also makes us a little proud,” explains bassist Reimer Bustorff (53) in a statement.

Kettcar was founded in Hamburg in 2001. Since the group couldn’t find a label for their debut album, they set up their own record label. Before “Good Mood Unjustly Distributed”, the five musicians released five more albums, four of which stayed in the top ten of the charts for several weeks. For the first time they are happy about first place.

“Cowboy Carter” is only in fourth place

In addition to Kettcar, three other bands are entering the album charts. The US group Khruangbin came in second behind “Good mood unfairly distributed”. The experimental trio’s sixth album is called “A La Sala”. The blues rock duo The Black Keys, also from the USA, took bronze with “Ohio Players”. Megastar Beyoncé lands in fourth place this week behind the newcomers with her first country album. The five also secured a new album. This is where the Berlin cult band Einstreiche Neuhäusern positions itself with their new work “Rampen (APM: Alien Pop Music)”.

Small change in the single charts

However, Beyoncé can improve in the singles charts. Her single “Texas Hold ‘Em” rises one place to four compared to the previous week. The positions on the podium remain the same: “I Like The Way You Kiss Me” by Artemas, Benson Boone (21) with “Beautiful Things” and Cyril’s hit “Stumblin’ In” continue to rank in this order. “Time for something to turn around” by Herbert Grönemeyer (68) and $oho Bani (25) has to make way for Beyoncé and ends up in fifth place.
