Roland Kaiser is celebrating his stage anniversary with a big ZDF show. Kerstin Ott is also there. The pop singer doesn’t just have words of praise for him.

Offenburg – When Roland Kaiser (71) celebrates his stage anniversary, then of course the who’s who of German pop will celebrate with him. Among others, Beatrice Egli (35), Melissa Naschenweng (33) and Kerstin Ott (42) will be on stage. The latter not only performed the Kaiser classic “Joana,” but also chatted with Giovanni Zarrella and Roland Kaiser afterwards. She has to smile at the emperor’s sometimes raunchy lyrics.

Because of clear texts: Kerstin Ott confronts Roland Kaiser

Kerstin Ott opens Roland Kaiser’s anniversary show and sings his hit “Joana”. “Born to sing this song,” Giovanni Zarrella praises his hit colleague after her performance and welcomes her on the long sofa on the ZDF stage. His first question from Kerstin Ott: “Why did you want to sing exactly this song?”. Without hesitation, she answers: “Because it’s an absolute catchy tune and I’ve known it for ages. And once you’ve sung it along, it just gets stuck in your head.

“But you’re also a little rogue, I have to say,” Kerstin Ott smiles. “Do you think so?†Roland Kaiser asks with an innocent smile on his lips. “These lyrics…“, the pop singer shakes her head. “Yessssssssss, he has it all,†said Giovanni Zarrella. Roland Kaiser doesn’t really mean it seriously when he apologizes for his song lyrics. “No, I think it’s great,” Kerstin Ott finally has to admit.

This wasn’t the first time that Roland Kaiser’s lyrics were criticized. A few weeks ago, Barbara Schöneberger and Atze Schröder discussed the German hit in the podcast “With the Waffles of a Woman” – more precisely, the raunchy texts by Roland Kaiser and Andrea Berg.
