Kempten: Man is dragged through pedestrian zone by car – Bavaria

A 33-year-old was dragged 20 meters by a car through the pedestrian zone in Kempten. Previously, the man was allegedly deliberately hit by the 39-year-old driver on Thursday, the police announced on Friday. He was slightly injured in the incident. The woman drove her car into a pedestrian zone several times at excessive speed.

Several people pointed this out to her, including the 33-year-old. Whereupon the driver initially responded with insults and, according to initial findings, hit the man. He then held on to the frame of the open side window to avoid falling. The 39-year-old continued to drive through the pedestrian zone, dragging the man with her. After 20 meters he was finally able to break away and the woman continued driving.

Several witnesses noted the license plate number, so the police took away the woman’s driver’s license on Thursday.
