Kelheim district: Police are called to the regulars’ table – Bavaria

There is now widespread agreement that not everything was generally better in the past. Simply because someone always told you what to do: the father to the rest of the family, the farmer to the servant, the priest to the sheep. Personal freedom wasn’t far off.

Nevertheless, nowadays there is apparently a longing for authority again. This life is sometimes complicated, complex even, so it would be nice and simple if someone could tell you what is right.

They needed one of these in a pub in the Kelheim district these days. The online portal Paffenhofen-today reports that the farmers’ protests were discussed at the regulars’ table, and no agreement was reached. It’s not that easy either, just by the way, do the farmers complain too much or too little, do they get too much money or too little and isn’t it time to fundamentally reform the entire subsidy issue? And what about the wolf, the tethering and Hubert Aiwanger?

So it’s not easy to find a consensus when it comes to agriculture, and so a 72-year-old man wanted to clear things up: he called the police. More specifically, he contacted the rescue control center using the emergency call system in his car and informed them that he needed an assessment from the police on a topic that was currently being discussed at the regulars’ table.

The control center passed this on to the officers, who in turn “actually determined” the facts, according to the police report. But they obviously couldn’t really help. Instead, the senior – no, he wasn’t drunk, but according to the police he was “very hot-tempered and provocative” – is now facing charges for misusing emergency calls.

It is therefore strongly advised not to make such calls, although it would of course be nice to have such a number. A helpline for those who are undecided and hesitant. A contact for the right opinion, the right argument, the right voting decision. No, no, this is not a reference to the State Chancellery or the party headquarters. Just a little mind game. We all prefer to think for ourselves. Hopefully there is widespread agreement on this.
