Keanu Reeves is reportedly negotiating his first major TV role. Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are said to be behind the project.

“Matrix” star Keanu Reeves (57) is said to be in talks about a role in a TV project. This is reported by the US industry portal “Deadline”. Accordingly, the negotiations are about the series adaptation of “The Devil In The White City”, a book by Erik Larson (68) from 2003.

Prominent producers

It is the true story of two men – one architect, the other serial killer – whose fates are linked by the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893. If Keanu Reeves signs for the project, according to “Deadline” it would be his first major role on US television. The film star would have prominent comrades-in-arms. Leonardo DiCaprio (47) secured the film rights to Larson’s book in 2010. Allegedly, it should first be implemented as a feature film – with Martin Scorsese (79) as the director.

In 2019, the streaming service Hulu announced that the project would be developed as a series. DiCaprio and Scorsese will be there as producers. Todd Field, 57, is slated to direct the first two episodes of the miniseries.
