Unknown people are said to have kidnapped a 33-year-old in Lower Franconia – the victim is now safe, the police said on Thursday. The criminal police and the State Criminal Police Office are now searching intensively for the perpetrators. The investigators are also asking the public for information about the crime.
On Friday last week, a driver observed how the 33-year-old in Karlstadt (Main-Spessart district) was pulled into a light-colored van against his will. The criminal police then looked for the man and, according to their own statements, worked closely with the police from other federal states.
On Wednesday morning, the 33-year-old finally contacted relatives from Sinsheim in Baden-Württemberg, who took him to a hospital as a precaution. According to the investigators’ findings, the man was at the train station in nearby Meckesheim the evening before. The police did not provide further details about the crime and the possible motive for tactical reasons.
