These days an episode is making the rounds that has been given a scandalous paint job as “dinner among constitutional organs”. On June 30, the 16 judges of the Constitutional Court met with the Federal Government to exchange ideas and have a meal in the Federal Chancellery. The agreed topic was “Decision making under uncertainties”, and Federal Justice Minister Christine Lambrecht (SPD) gave a speech on the “knowledge vacuum” that plagued politicians during a year and a half of the pandemic.
