Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg (51) is back with a new documentary. It’s supposed to be about the churches in Germany. According to RTL, in “KT Guttenberg – For God’s sake? The power of the church in Germany”, zu Guttenberg deals with the reasons for the numerous people leaving the church and wants to uncover “the power relationships and grievances in Germany’s churches”.

The documentary will be available on RTL+ from December 6th. According to the announcement, it can be seen on n-tv on December 26th at 3:10 p.m. Among other things, Guttenberg meets an abuse victim “who tells his shocking experiences” and learns “amazing things” about the “Vatican system” from an insider, as the broadcaster promises in advance. In addition, a financial expert is supposed to reveal how rich the churches in Germany still are.

Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg has been working as a moderator since 2022

In June 2022, RTL announced that former Defense Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg was working on “high-end documentaries” for the RTL+ streaming service. The Putin documentary “KT Guttenberg – On the Trail of Power” was released last year. In December 2022, he also led the annual review “People, Images, Emotions” together with Thomas Gottschalk (73).

Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg: He retired in 2011 after a scandal

Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg was once considered a beacon of hope for the CSU. He was Federal Minister of Economics (2009), then Minister of Defense (2009-2011) and at that time one of the most popular politicians in the country. The big scandal came in 2011: The University of Bayreuth revoked Guttenberg’s doctorate in February 2011 in the wake of a plagiarism scandal surrounding his dissertation. A few days later, Zu Guttenberg resigned from all political offices. The former politician moved to the USA with his family.
