The 46-year-old Dutchman with Moroccan roots is the leader of one of the most brutal criminal organizations in Europe, which operates primarily in Belgium and the Netherlands. Drug trafficking and money laundering are his profession. The Spanish police were on his trail for years. His arrest was successful in January and was hailed as a huge success by investigators. Spain’s Interior Minister spoke of a successful strike against one of the worst criminal gangs in the Netherlands.
