Kanye West Fires Third Attorney Before Kim Kardashian Divorce Hearing

A year ago, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West. West now fired his third attorney. That could have tactical reasons.
Kim Kardashian is said to have filed a court petition last week demanding a speedy divorce. The reason she gave was that Kanye West would cause her emotional suffering through his behavior. The rapper has been posting angry messages against Kardashian and her new boyfriend Pete Davidson for weeks. Now Kanye West is changing lawyers again, which could have consequences in the divorce process.
West is now on his fourth legal counsel in a year. Communication with the third lawyer, Chris Melcher, is said to have become very difficult. According to the celebrity portal “TMZ”, Kanye West is said to have been very fickle in his strategy regarding the divorce from Kim Kardashian. One moment he’s said to have wanted to argue with Kardashian, the next reconciliation is said to have been the new focus. These changing moods have also been reflected in Kanye West’s Instagram account in recent weeks. He bullied and agitated against the 41-year-old and her new boyfriend and then publicly regretted it again, only to carry on the following day as before the apology.

But the change of lawyer at the present time could also have tactical reasons. Kim Kardashian recently filed for a summary divorce, saying the process should end as soon as possible because it would cause her “emotional pain.” A hearing is scheduled to take place on Wednesday. A judge is expected to rule on whether Kim Kardashian is legally single in this instance. But Kanye West’s new attorney, Samantha Spector, can ask the judge to adjourn the hearing as she, as a new attorney, first has to familiarize herself with the matter. It is not yet known whether a request for an adjournment by West is planned.
