The legendary Berlin avant-garde festival March music has now brought a woman shaped by two cultures to the top: Kamila Metwaly, mother Polish, father Egyptian, was born in Warsaw in 1984 and went to school in Cairo. Metwaly speaks Polish, Arabic and not much German, has dual citizenship, lives and works alternately in Cairo and Berlin. As a curator, electronic musician and journalist, she has seen a lot in the global business of new music.
