Kai Ebel is moving from the pit lane to Schillerallee: The Formula 1 expert will take on a guest role in “Unter Uns”.
Formula 1 expert Kai Ebel (57) cheats on RTL and temporarily swaps the pit lane for Schillerallee. As the broadcaster announced, the moderator in the daily “Unter Uns” will embody the “sleazy fence” Gero Mertens. “It’s going to be interesting. I’m looking forward to it,” said the 57-year-old.
The great thing is that he already knows some of the actors personally, including Tabea Heynig (51). “When I found out that Kai Ebel was playing the role of a stalker, I was very happy,” says Heynig. Kai was super prepared both visually and as an actor.
Not the first acting job for Kai Ebel
It is always nice when you can do something creatively in front of the camera, Ebel continues. Only he had been able to improvise in Formula 1 for 30 years, but now he has to learn his fixed text. But it is not his very first foray into acting, he has already been allowed to take on minor supporting roles, for example in the crime series “Balko” and “Alarm für Cobra 11”.
As a dubious businessman, Ebel will be showing Mertens in the main program on Thursday, December 16 at 5:30 p.m. on RTL. As early as Thursday, December 9th, the episode will be available from 6 p.m. on the RTL + streaming service.
