Instead of RTLzwei, Manu and Konny Reimann will be seen on Kabel Eins from next year, as the new house channel announced on Tuesday in Unterföhring. The north German emigrated to the USA with his family in 2004. The Reimanns now live in Hawaii.

Since 2013, the family has been regularly featured in the series “The Reimanns – An Extraordinary Life” on RTLzwei – new episodes are currently running there. After moving from the RTL Deutschland family of broadcasters to the other large private broadcasting group ProSiebenSat.1, “Welcome to the Reimanns” will continue in January. “Finally at home”, Konny Reimann commented on the change. “We’re not moving back to Hamburg, but we’ve finally found a TV home that we’ve always wanted.”

Kabel eins is happy. “There are hardly any German TV faces that fit so well with Kabel Eins as the Reimanns,” said broadcaster Marc Rasmus. «Manu and Konny are as authentic as possible, down to earth and have great entertainment value. They live their dreams and have become cult figures with their humorous and straightforward manner. “

The station also announced other new formats on Tuesday. As of January 6, Frank Rosin will give ten young people without a job prospects. In the new Kabel-Eins social documentary “Rosins Heldenküche – Last Chance, Dream Job”, the two-star chef invites the participants to a two-month gastro bootcamp. Those who persevere can hope for an apprenticeship as a cook in a fine restaurant.

As early as November 18, all seven prisons in the capital will open their doors to a television team in the long-term documentary “Berlin Behind Bars”. For three months, the cameras followed seven candidates who want to become prison officers.
