The book of the K-pop heroine Lalisa Manobal does not start with the first page. Anyone who opens the lid of the box will first find a bag made of tear-resistant paper. Inside are five blurred Polaroid-sized images taken on the sidelines of filming the video for the single “Lalisa.” Manobal in different costumes known from the video. She is smiling and making heart signs. It’s like a prologue for the fans before the seriousness of the photo book begins, which Manobal’s employer, the South Korean entertainment company YG Entertainment, has released to mark the solo project.
