Justice Minister Eisenreich represents Bavaria on the ZDF television council – Bavaria

The Bavarian state government sends Justice Minister Georg Eisenreich (CSU) to the ZDF television council. The State Chancellery announced this on Tuesday in Munich. Until now, the Free State was represented on the ZDF supervisory board by the head of the State Chancellery, Karolina Gernbauer.

The ZDF television council is made up of 60 representatives from various social groups. It monitors the program, approves the budget approved by the board of directors and elects the director of the public broadcaster.

According to the information, there is also a change in the media council of the Bavarian State Center for New Media (BLM). There, Bavaria’s Digital Minister Fabian Mehring replaces the former Education Minister Michael Piazolo (both Free Voters).

The BLM is responsible for the many private radio and TV stations in the Free State. It is in turn controlled by the 50-member media council. Representatives of social groups, organizations and parties sit on the supervisory board.
