A new darts world championship, a new season “The Wasp”: The comedy series starts parallel to the showdown in Alexandra Palace on December 15th.

Darts fever is spreading again: From December 15, 2022 to January 3, 2023, the best in the world will again compete against the round target at the Darts World Championship in London’s Alexandra Palace. At the same time, the second season of “The Wasp” starts. In six new episodes, the comedy format accompanies the underdog Eddie “Die Waspe” Frotzke (Florian Lukas, 49) on his rocky road to a comeback in darts. From December 15, Sky One will show the series in double episodes every Thursday from 8:15 p.m. The full season is available on-demand on Wow and Sky Q in parallel.

“The Wasp”: That’s what season 2 is about

Shock! Eddie is in jail. While his wife Manu (Lisa Wagner, 43) continues to try to establish herself in the darts scene, he struggles for emotional survival in prison. But then he manages a deal with the judiciary: Eddie is released early because of good behavior, but he has to stay away from darts in all its forms until the end of the probationary period.

While Manu advances her career, Eddie hangs out illegally in the Berlin area at illegal darts tournaments. But his probation officer Bärbel (Meret Becker, 53) is just waiting to catch him when he missteps. Together with his old buddy Kevin (Leonard Scheicher, 30), Eddie initially earns a lot of money at the tournaments. But then the debt collectors Udo (Peter Lohmeyer, 60) and Raul (Henry Morales) set a trap for them and suddenly Eddie and Kevin are in debt to the betting mafia with 50,000 euros.
