Jason Derulo is headlining the Super Bowl pre-show. There’s just one problem: the star is struggling with a broken foot.
On the night of February 13, German time, the first major sporting highlight of the new year will be the 57th Super Bowl. Shortly before the mega event, however, a star is worrying who is firmly scheduled for the football summit meeting: Jason Derulo (33) was announced in 2023 as the headliner of the official NFL pre-show “TikTok Tailgate”. However, according to a “TMZ” report Broke a foot and will be on crutches for the time being.
Accordingly, the musician was unlucky at a basketball match about three weeks ago and, in addition to the broken foot, also suffered a torn ligament. However, despite his current disability, the star plans to attend the big event. Shortly after the accident, his foot injury did not stop him from performing under difficult conditions at a spot event in Dubai, as pictures from mid-January show.
Thanks to a headset microphone, he had both hands free to support his injured foot with two crutches. If his condition has not improved in just under two weeks, he should also rely on this emergency solution at the Super Bowl show shortly before the Philadelphia Eagles game against Kansas City Chiefs kicks off.
A night dedicated to football
Jason Derulo won’t have to face the pre-show alone. Alongside the R&B singer, blues-rock duo The Black Keys will also be headlining the “TikTok Tailgate.” Via the NFL’s official TikTok account fans around the world will be able to watch the live event to while away the time until kick-off. Broadcaster ProSieben broadcasts on February 12 from 10:25 p.m. and until almost 5 a.m. in the morning.
The Super Bowl kickoff at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, is 12:30 a.m. German time. Singer Rihanna (34) will appear in the famous halftime show of the sporting event this year.
