FC Lorient announced this Wednesday, to everyone’s surprise, the signing for two seasons of Benjamin Mendy. Acquitted in recent days of the charges against him, the left side has not played a match since August 2021.
Benjamin Mendy did not take long to find a contract. Found not guilty last Friday of rape and attempted rape by the court in Chester in the United Kingdom, five months after being acquitted of most of the charges against him during his first trial, the 2018 world champion s is engaged for two years with FC Lorient.

Benjamin Mendy’s last official match dates back to August 15, 2021, a few days before his incarceration. Benjamin Mendy will wear number 5 in Lorient and will begin his adventure on Wednesday, present at the training center.
