The successful German soccer coach Jürgen Klopp could have been infected with the corona virus.
The German soccer coach Jürgen Klopp (54) is in isolation because of the suspicion of a corona infection. This was announced by his club, Liverpool FC. Klopp will therefore miss the top game against Chelsea.
Jürgen Klopp has “slight symptoms”
The German received a “presumably positive Covid-19 test result”. “The Reds coach, who reported mild symptoms before the game, is now in isolation,” the statement said. Klopp’s assistant Pepijn Lijnders (38) will replace him.
Just shortly before, Klopp had confirmed three suspected corona cases in the team. According to the club, there were no further positive test results in the team. However, positive tests came back from three members of the supervisory staff.
