Once the cat is out of the house, the mice will probably dance on the tables in the jungle camp too…

The setting at the jungle camp pond was right, but Mike is “still on the brakes” when it comes to his romance with Leyla – who can blame him after the Kim catastrophe? Maybe he’ll take an old-fashioned love tip from Fabio to heart?
Day 15 in the jungle is one of those days that you will remember later – for the things that DIDN’T happen. First of all announced Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen said midway through the broadcast that no one would be leaving the camp on Friday. Why why why? Because Cora Schumacher has already left voluntarily, RTL explained. Not every viewer understood this logic.
The IBES Instagram account quickly piled up with “Huh? What now? Are you-are-you-kidding-us?1!!11!!” posts. But the fact is: All five campers were allowed to stay on Friday and at the end Sonja even sang the theme song of the perfect world afternoon series “Five Friends”, which ran on ZDF between 1978-79 (please read in a singing voice): “Julian, Dick and Anne, George and Tihimii-the Huhuhund.” Ah, memories!
What else didn’t happen? Kim Virginia’s 180-degree turn also fell flat. Instead, the self-proclaimed “Queen of the Jungle Trials” was already talking herself into a rage again on the drive back to the Hotel Imperial: She herself had suffered cruel emotional torment in the jungle, had been whirled through an “absolute merry-go-round of emotions” and by Mike – by whom also otherwise? – deeply disappointed.

The vegetarians fight over camel meat and Leyla conquers Mike’s loins
Now she wants to concentrate on the time outside, in her artificial habitat: a world in which shamans wait on the beach with rose-colored glasses, glasses full of champagne and incense candles to drive out the “evil spirits”. Just in case anyone hasn’t noticed yet: beans and rice are a thing of the past. Or as Kim Virginia put it in her inimitably condescending choice of words: “Leyla and I, we don’t move in the same circles privately. I mean: a ghetto girl and a princess…”
Kiss scene in the pond as a template?
Meanwhile, Leyla wished that there would be a little more going on with Mike in and around the pond. But Mike somehow remained “shy”. Leyla: “He’s driving with the handbrake on.” She really didn’t make it that difficult for him! After a successful jungle test with Tim (three stars), the two teased each other in the pond. The legendary kiss scene from 2011 immediately popped up in my mind’s eye: singer Jay Khan in a clinch with singer Indira Weis! Back then, thankfully, kisses didn’t “fall” like they do today, but they were already heavily staged: The look with which Jay Khan devoured the camera more than his supposed love interest is certainly not forgotten to this day.
Which brings us to the next big thing that DIDN’T happen: Mike didn’t kiss Leyla. He wasn’t staring at any cameras, he was just half-jokingly announcing that they could now do a bit of “dirty dancing” in the water. Then he picked up Leyla, who did a pretty realistic imitation of Jennifer Gray for two seconds, then she splashed into the water and it was fine again. The fact that Mike was able to keep his hands to himself even under the wildly romantic rock shower irritated Leyla.
She sought advice from Fabio, because he doesn’t just know about vacuum cleaners and Speedos. He reassured Leyla that he felt a clear tension between her and Mike. “Just talk to him,” she urged Fabio anyway and he did as he was told. Just a reminder: Mike Heiter has already taken part in so-called bums formats, but he got a flirting tip from Fabio like Master Eder himself: “I think she would be really happy if you gave her a kiss on the cheek ” he said to him. Mike paused: “You mean?” At this point I would like to urgently plead that apart from holding hands and a kiss on the cheek, absolutely nothing should happen in front of cameras – just for a change for the boys and girls who are often reduced to their bodies!
Two farewells from the jungle camp are approaching
Was there anything else? Twenty4Tim shed a few tears because his campmates had described him as “considerate” but also “inauthentic” in a game. That really annoyed the TikToker. The 23-year-old defiantly announced: “I realized in the jungle that I am a good person.” The attribute “modest” was probably in the wash.
As already mentioned, no one had to leave on day 15. For Leyla, the moderators left that much information, that very few viewers had called. Was it due to her fascination with her own “ass hair,” which “you’ll soon be able to braid”? We will find out in the semi-finals on Saturday: then two stars will be eliminated.
