At the end of “The Big Reunion”, the jungle camp moderators Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen had a real hit ready: They announced another jungle show – which will be broadcast this year.

The Jungle camp 2024 is over. On Monday evening, RTL broadcast “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here! The Big Reunion” – the finale of the jungle festival. Normally, for fans of the reality format, this means that it now takes a year until the next adventure.

But at the end of the almost three-hour show, the presenters Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen had good news for all jungle junkies: There will be another show this year. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” The format is coming back this summer.

However, in a slightly different form: “I am a star – showdown of the jungle legends” the show will be called. As the name suggests, there will be a reunion with former jungle campers from previous seasons. The location will be familiar to many connoisseurs: As in 2022, when production had to be moved from Australia to South Africa due to the pandemic, this time too it will go to the land of lions and leopards. The broadcast is planned for late summer.

Everything fans like about the format will be there: strenuous night vigils, disgusting food and tests that take place in the real jungle. Also Dr. Bob is flown in from Down Under just for the fun.

The exact broadcast dates have not yet been decided, and the names of the participants have not yet been announced. But this is news, especially for fans of the jungle camp who mourn the good old days: real stars can be expected in the “Showdown of the Jungle Legends” – for the others, the many dating shows remain.

Transparency note: The star is part of RTL Germany.
