Unexpected farewell in the jungle camp: Heinz Hoenig has to leave the show on the instructions of the medical team.
This news from Australia comes as a complete surprise: actors Heinz Hoenig (72) has left the jungle camp. The broadcaster announced this in a short statement on Tuesday afternoon. Accordingly, the medical team took the oldest participant out of the camp this year as a precaution. He is doing well and is now with his family. The exact circumstances of the unscheduled move can be found in today’s episode of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” from 10:15 p.m. on RTL and in the live stream on RTL+.
Hoenig has “did excellently” in the almost two weeks of jungle camp. However, it is “a strenuous challenge for everyone,” RTL continued. The broadcaster did not provide any details about the medical reasons. In a report on the RTL homepage, Dr. Bob speaks up. The jungle doctor also emphasized that Hoenig is currently doing well. However, it should be noted that the actor is around “three times as old” as most of the other stars in the camp.
Only seven celebrities are still in the jungle camp
Heinz Hoenig noted a few days ago that the show was exhausting and tiring for him. However, there was never any talk of voluntary resignation. Hoenig was banned from most of the previous jungle tests for medical reasons, but celebrated his premiere in yesterday’s episode during a food test. He mastered the “Icebreaker” challenge without complaining and devoured his disgusting ice cream without any problems and then washed it down with a disgusting shake.
