Top model Papis Loveday: How his 25 siblings prepared him for his fellow campers
Papis Loveday wants to be king of the jungle.

Papis Loveday grew up with 25 siblings and is now known as an international model. He has set himself a mission for the jungle.
The new season of the RTL format “I’m a star – get me out of here!” starts on January 13th. After two years of Corona, the show is taking place again in Australia. That’s where RTL brought the twelve more or less prominent participants. the star introduces them in turn. Today: Papis Loveday.

Who is Daddy’s Loveday?
Papis Loveday grew up with 25 siblings in Senegal, so fellow campers shouldn’t faze him that easily. “I grew up with fights between brothers and half-brothers, between sisters and half-sisters,” he says. Because his father was not only married to Dad’s mom, but also to two other women at the same time. Papis Loveday didn’t have it easy at school: he was bullied. But in sports he was hard to beat. His career as an athlete took him to Paris, but a serious injury forced him to retire. Luckily he was discovered as a model a little later.
He was able to gain reality TV experience in 2021 with “Celebrity Big Brother”. There he presented himself shrill and loud, fellow candidates were already asking where “his button to switch off” was. As with “Celebrity Big Brother”, he could also provide emotional moments in the jungle with his story, for example when he reports on experiences of racism. Dad, on the other hand, is not inclined to crack jokes like some of his fellow campers. He doesn’t even need it, so he’s the only participant in this season who can show real international success. In a way, Papis is the gin and tonic between the kangaroo testicle cocktails. But with his unusual styling he could provide a topic of conversation. And who knows, maybe papis will use the time in the jungle to present a new side of themselves? A well-known advertising slogan already knew years ago: You are not you when you are hungry.
The biggest success
Since he was discovered, Papis has been featured in campaigns for Armani, Gucci, Dior and other big-name brands. In addition to the catwalk, he has now made a name for himself as a model coach, so he appears regularly in “Austria’s Sex Topmodel”. This should also continue in the jungle: “My whole life is a catwalk. I also like to run on the street as I am on the catwalk. Of course I will make the jungle a catwalk, because the catwalk is a show and the jungle is a show too.” Papis travels internationally, speaks seven languages and probably also the language of love: he has been in a relationship with his partner for 18 years.
Why does he go to the jungle camp?
Papis has a mission for the jungle: “I have the feeling that there are fewer black people on television and I want to use the jungle for that. Just to be loud and to make people aware: We’re there too.” However, the fact that he is quite afraid of snakes could still become a problem for him. Papis takes it sporty: “Snakes are my biggest challenge. But I love challenges.”
But that’s not all: he also wants to increase his profile in Germany. He trained hard for this: “I really like doing sports, I prepare even harder for the jungle because I want to sell my six-pack and ‘body chocolate’. A bit of a sex symbol. I hope it gets hot enough for me to do it get a chance to show my muscles.”

- In his book “Life is never just black and white” (2021) he makes intimate confessions. He talks about the homophobia he encountered in Senegal. But he doesn’t ignore the racism he experienced in Europe either.
- In the book he calls his mom “his anchor, his be-all and end-all, his role model and his drive”. A photo of his mother is one of his luxury items even in the jungle.
- Papis landed in Australia exactly on his birthday. On the way there he wanted to celebrate.
- He says about himself that he can dance well. So if it doesn’t work with the jungle crown, he would probably be just as happy about an invitation to “Let’s Dance 2024”.
