Before viewers can choose celebrities from the jungle camp, Janina Youssefian has to move out. RTL takes her out of the show because of a racist statement.

Janina Youssefian has to leave the jungle camp. The reason for this is a racist statement by the model. Youssefian had said to fellow camper and reality TV actress Linda Nobat: “Then go back to the bush!” TV station RTL doesn’t let you get away with this saying and that’s why Youssefian has to show “I’m a star – get me out of here!” leaving.

RTL throws out Janina Youssefian

“During a heated argument, Janina Youssefian insulted Linda Nobat with a racist comment. RTL does not tolerate such behavior and has therefore decided that Janina is no longer allowed to participate in the current season #IBES,” writes RTL in a statement on Twitter.

“Those responsible informed Janina Youssefian of this decision and she immediately had to leave the jungle camp. Her participation contract was terminated and she will start her journey home as soon as possible. We strongly condemn any form of racism and discrimination. #IBES gives people who do not correspond to this attitude, no stage.”

It’s not the first involuntary end of this year’s “Jungle Camp” season. Singer Lucas Cordalis had traveled to the film location in South Africa, but had tested positive for Corona there. Until recently, broadcasters – and probably Cordalis himself – had hoped for a delayed move.

In the Youssefian case, things are a little different. It was not yet clear whether a replacement celebrity would take Youssefian’s place or whether TV viewers would be able to start choosing celebrities from the jungle camp a day later than originally planned. The RTL show “I’m a star – get me out of here” will run until Saturday, February 5, 2022.
