With his likeable manner and his ambition to win many stars, Pavlović won the hearts of the fans. The 27-year-old has now spoken to RTL about his time in the camp.

How are you?
I’m fine now. I’m back to reality – no more jungle madness. I ordered really delicious pancakes and had three cappuccinos and caught up on everything I couldn’t get in the last few weeks.

Did you count on your victory?
In the beginning rather less. There were very strong and crazy characters in the camp. Usually I’m always the loudest and suddenly you have ten others who are just as loud. But in the semifinals, for the first time, I thought, ‘Hey, you can really be king’.
What was your best moment?
That was the evening I got the letter from my family. That gave me a lot of strength and gave me motivation and energy for the last few days.
What was the biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge were all my fellow campers. It’s not that easy when you have a lot of testosterone-loaded guys and the girls are really kicking ass too. And then of course the lack of sleep. We kept the night watch until dawn and then we were always up early for the exams. That was very, very hard.
How much weight did you lose?
I lost eleven kilos. I went in at 185 pounds and came out at 74.
What are you looking forward to the most now?
I look forward to calling my family. My parents and my sister. Everything else is already behind me – the pancakes were delicious.

What are you doing with your winnings?
So far I haven’t given it that much thought. I have to get to Germany first and then we’ll see. The money will definitely end up in good hands. Hopefully.
Who will you still be in contact with after the jungle?
Definitely with Peter. He has grown very fond of me. We were together day and night. He was my caregiver and I was his. He was the only person I opened up to. I would really like to keep in touch with him afterwards. Having private security is always good.
Who would you rather not meet anymore?
I got along really well with everyone. But at the end of the day I will have less contact with some candidates and more with others. There’s no one I’m like, ‘Nah, never again’. If you cross paths, you should always be able to look each other in the face.
What are your plans for the future?
I haven’t given it much thought yet. Now I want to come back to Germany, see what awaits me and plan accordingly.
