Reality TV actress Christin Okpara is not allowed to participate in the jungle camp because of discrepancies with her vaccination status. The federal police have now started an investigation.

The new season of the RTL show “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here” hasn’t even started yet, and the first scandal is already there. Reality TV actress Christin Okpara is not allowed to move into the jungle camp because of discrepancies with her vaccination status. Jasmin Herren is replacing the 25-year-old as a substitute candidate. Now even the federal police are investigating against Okpara – on suspicion of having presented a fake vaccination certificate.

At the request of the dpa news agency, the federal police in Frankfurt am Main said she was noticed a week ago at Frankfurt Airport during an exit check for South Africa. The proof of vaccination that was carried along showed “irregularities” – regarding the corona vaccinations.

As a result, proceedings were initiated against her on the strong suspicion of “using incorrect health certificates”. The Federal Police seized evidence. The further investigations and the evaluation of the seized objects continued. Okpara had nevertheless traveled to South Africa.

Christin Okpara flies out of the jungle camp

RTL announced her expulsion on Thursday. Head of entertainment Markus Küttner said: “There were discrepancies about Christin Okpara’s vaccination status, which could not be clarified in the short time available. These discrepancies are enough for us to take immediate action: For this reason, she will not be at the jungle camp participate in 2022.”

The management of the TV star could not initially be reached for a statement. According to media reports, Okpara said on her private Instagram account as follows: “Let’s calm down for now. There’s a very plausible explanation for certain things. I’m just a personality – I’m very good at handing things out. You have to have a personality like that too can take it well. And I can do that very well. I promise you, that was far from the end for me.”

The presumption of innocence applies until Okpara is finally convicted.
