Junge Union – Lower license fee required – District of Munich

Young Union:Lower license fee required

The Junge Union (JU) München-Land is committed to streamlining public broadcasting and lowering broadcasting fees and, together with the district associations of Upper Bavaria and Augsburg, received a majority in the most recent JU regional assembly in Deggendorf. 86 percent of the delegates voted in favor. According to JU district chief Jan Kämmerer, the youth organization of the CSU is calling for Radio Bremen to be integrated into the NDR and the SR into the SWR. The NDR is already a joint state broadcaster for Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Lower Saxony, and thus for four larger federal states. In addition, the director’s salaries should be capped at 200,000 euros. For the high quality of the program – especially the journalistic core task – sufficient money must be available. However, efficiency is required.
