Julian Reichelt and his law firm: when lawyers become traitors – culture

There are lawyers whose quick wit, ingenuity and wit have become legendary. One of them was Dr. Hugo Sperber, lawyer in Vienna at the time of the first Austrian republic. The writer Friedrich Torberg erected a literary monument to him in his collection of anecdotes “Tante Jolesch”. According to Torberg, Sperber’s dream was an advertising poster for his law firm with the “completely unprofessional” text: “Robbers, murderers, spoiled children only go to Doctor Sperber!” It was a joke, but a real one, because Sparrowhawk was a brilliant criminal defense attorney. And despite all his originality, he knew what was criminal or professional law and what wasn’t.
