When Martin Kordić’s novel “Years with Martha” was published a year ago, we knew that not only Annie Ernaux (“The Young Man”) could write magically about a love between a young male and an older woman (like others before her ), but also an author who was born in Celle in 1983 and has been working as an editor in book publishers for ten years. “Years with Martha”, which has rightly won various awards, is nevertheless much more, is at least three novels in one without any heaviness, a love story, a story of emancipation, a story of migration. Now you can experience it on stage for the first time, at the Nuremberg State Theater, directed by Julia Hölscher.
