José Evrard, deputy for Pas-de-Calais, died of Covid-19 at 76

The deputy for the 3rd district of Pas-de-Calais died of the Covid-19.

The deputy of Pas-de-Calais, José Evrard died at the age of 76 after contracting Covid-19, according to a tweet published this Friday evening on his Twitter account. “I learn with emotion the disappearance of José Evrard, our colleague deputy of Pas-de-Calais following the Covid-19” reacted Richard Ferrand on Twitter.

“To his wife, his children, his relatives, as well as to his colleagues and collaborators, I address my heartfelt thoughts and solidarity in the sorrow” indicates the President of the National Assembly.

José Evrard was attached to the Debout la France group and was head of the party’s list for the regional in Hauts-de-France in 2021.

The president of Debout la France, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, reacted on Twitter. It pays homage to a “friend”, “the son of a miner who became a member of the Pas-de-Calais”. “He embodied this land in the mining basin. A courageous, upright, kind man … Faithful to his social convictions and deeply in love with France. I will miss him terribly” underlines the deputy for Essonne.
