The US military wants to rely on one man in particular to distribute food in Gaza: José Andrés and his organization “World Central Kitchen”. It is not the first time that the unconventional star restaurateur has helped in war and crisis areas.
Early on Tuesday morning, the “Open Arms”, a red-washed boat 37 meters long, set off on its short but arduous journey. The route: from Larnaca in Cyprus towards the war-ravaged beaches of northern Gaza. On board: 200 pallets full of rice, flour, legumes and canned meat.
