Horror start and happy ending on their anniversary

The 50th edition of “Joko & Klaas versus ProSieben” was coming up – and with it a lot of risk, a horror start and a happy ending. But for whom?
The new season “Joko & Klaas against ProSieben”, which started last week, has a special feature in store: a newly introduced risk variant that suits the two nonsense Joko Winterscheidt (45) and A win could give Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (40) 24 hours of freedom as program boss. At the start, they promptly chose the new option – and failed resoundingly. In view of this bitter defeat and on the occasion of the 50th episode of the show on April 16th, the two of course didn’t give up and chose the more difficult option again.
A horror start
With the risk variant, Joko and Klaas only have a total of 50 attempts for all six games plus the final. Already in the first game, the two fought each other like an old married couple and gave away eleven of their attempts to achieve several badminton rallies with Christmas balls. In the meantime, Klaas even feared that they might completely fail at the task and that the show would be over after five minutes.
Luckily for the TV and studio audience, however, they picked themselves up in games two and three and only wasted a total of seven more of their precious attempts. 32 of them went into game four, where there were another nine failed attempts. Interim score at half of the show: 23 out of 50.
Another high-ranking visitor
As in the previous show, station boss Hannes Hiller (53) appeared at the interlude after game four to give Joko and Klaas the chance to win back a few tries using “rock-paper-scissors”. Purified from the opening sequence, Klaas only made five attempts this time instead of 15. But because Hiller bet on the good old stone twice while Klaas switched to scissors, their points account continued to shrink – there were only 18 left.
With around ten attempts, they finally made it to the final, in which the decision was made: they were allowed to play station bosses for 24 hours, or if they lost they had to sit in the gatehouse at ProSieben for twelve hours – in other words, “real work”, as Klaas aptly summarized it .
In the opening episode they had completely missed the final, but now they were even more eager. In the final game “The Opposite of…” they only had to find a single common association to a given term. And in fact, shortly after 11 p.m., the time had come: When it came to the term “play,” the two had the same instinct with eight attempts left, which for them was the exact opposite of it: “work.” How Klaas had joked just before! This also makes it clear: For the entirety of next Sunday (April 21st), you can now do whatever you want at ProSieben. An old “taff” episode from presenter Steven Gätjen (51) could then make it into the program, among other things.
