“Join the RN direct”… Ruffin and Quatennens argue via social networks

Adrien Quatennens and François Ruffin may well be part of the same alliance, but they are far from being in agreement. The deputy from the North, who is not running again even though his candidacy had caused a stir on the left, did not appreciate the criticism from his counterpart from the Somme. During a TF1 report, the founder of Fakir indeed estimated that Jean-Luc Mélenchon was “an obstacle to the victory” of the New Popular Front.

“It’s not support here. It’s rather something that repels voters, explains François Ruffin to journalist Paul Larrouturou. No doubt it is necessary to go on TV sets but it would be good if the leaders of LFI were here to convince and fight the National Rally. »

Without him, “you wouldn’t exist”, scathes Quatennens

The criticism did not please Adrien Quatennens, Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s eternal protégé, even after his conviction for domestic violence eighteen months ago. “This is no longer a melon, it’s a watermelon! Be careful: if it swells up, it’s going to explode. If Mélenchon and the FI had not invested you, you would not exist,” the elected official fumed on X.

“And today, shooting him is your life insurance. As beautiful as it is, Picardy is not the country. Join the RN direct! We will save time and energy,” he added. The divorce therefore seems to be complete between a Mélenchonist line of France Insoumise and François Ruffin.

While many members of the New Popular Front want the founder of LFI to step down, the break between the two men actually dates from the “purge” of the party’s “rebels”. François Ruffin, long considered a potential successor to Jean-Luc Mélenchon in the incarnation of the radical left, could “refocus” with the aim of running in the 2027 presidential election.
