John Carmack resigns as advisor to Meta’s chief technology officer

John Carmack, co-founder of id Software, video game developer Has resigned as a consultant to Meta’s chief technology officer.

“We have a huge amount of people and resources. But we are always trying to sabotage and waste.” Carmack writein a Facebook post

He added: “I was fed up with fighting. and still have their own startups to take action.”

Carmack joined VR hardware and software maker Oculus in 2013, before being acquired by Meta the following year. And he dropped his CTO advisory role in 2019 to invest more time in artificial intelligence startup Keen Technologies.

Carmack is known for developing many video games, including Doom, Quake, Wolfenstein 3D, and Commander Keen.
