The big adventure is calling: From January you can see the new documentary soap that accompanies Joey Kelly and his family on their road trip.
Joey Kelly and his family travel without any money
Together with his wife Tanja (50), their children Luke (23), Leon (19), Lillian (16) and Lisann (7), Joey Kelly sets off in a specially converted motorhome in the Rhineland – without a cent in his pocket. The challenge the family faces: They want to finance their trip through street music, donations and temporary jobs. But soon it’s not just the mobile home that’s causing trouble; earning money also turns out to be more difficult than expected. The Kelly family reaches its limits, especially in Nicaragua, Panama and Colombia.
From Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 8:15 p.m., the family adventure can be seen on RTLzwei and then streamed on RTL+ for 30 days.
At the beginning of December, the family had already caused a stir with new music. Joey Kelly’s Family released the song “Only Together” on December 1st, which is said to have been written during the Panamericana trip.
Joey Kelly has been married to his wife Tanja Niethen, a former member of the band Bellini, since 2004. Since 2017 he has been appearing again with his siblings as the famous The Kelly Family. Previously, Joey Kelly attracted attention for years primarily with his sporting achievements. He reportedly completed over 100 marathons and ultra competitions worldwide.
He also demonstrated his sporting skills on countless entertainment shows on TV, making him one of the most successful participants in the “TV Total Wok World Cup” and winning “Schlag den Star” several times.
