A Russian bombing and air attack killed two people in southern and northeastern Ukraine on Saturday, local authorities said. Russia claimed to have repelled a Ukrainian drone attack targeting a military airfield in North Ossetia this Saturday. “Three aerial drones were shot down by anti-aircraft defense systems in Mozdok”, a large city in North Ossetia, in the Russian Caucasus, regional leader Sergei Menyailo said on Telegram. “According to initial information, the drones came from the Ukrainian side,” he said.
This is the first drone attack targeting North Ossetia, located around 1,000 km from the Ukrainian border, since the start of the Russian operation in Ukraine in February 2022.
