With films like “Taxi Driver”, “Accused” and “The Silence of the Lambs” secured himself Jodie Foster (61) not only won two Oscars and numerous Golden Globes, but also one of the coveted stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016. Now the actress was allowed to immortalize herself with the prints of her hands and feet in the cement in front of the nearby forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theater.

Honor coincided with 10th wedding anniversary

The honor took place on Friday (April 19) as part of the ongoing “Turner Classic Movies” film festival. Coincidentally, it was on the 10th wedding anniversary of the film star and her wife Alexandra Hedison (54), who also attended the ceremony. The actor couple Jamie Lee Curtis (65) and Christopher Guest (76) also sat next to her.

As People magazine reported, Foster addressed her simultaneous wedding anniversary in her speech and thanked her wife for her generosity in “sacrificing” the couple’s anniversary for the Hollywood event. “What were you thinking? How come you didn’t say no?” she asked, laughing. And added: “I love you so much, and I’m so grateful for the life we have together.”

In the place of longing of her childhood

For her, this honor is an “unbelievable” thing that inevitably reminds her of her childhood, when she often passed the hand and footprints of big Hollywood stars in front of the Chinese Theater. “I mean, I grew up ten blocks from here, so we came here a lot,” said Jodie Foster. “We came here and I put my little feet in the cement, and yeah, it’s kind of a continuation of a tradition because to me the film business is my family.”
