On Saturday, revised, colored new editions of Michael Ende’s children’s books “Jim Knopf and Lukas the Locomotive Driver” and “Jim Knopf and the Wilde 13” will be published by Thienemann-Verlag in Stuttgart. Some things will be different than before – the publisher, in consultation with both the heirs of Michael Ende and those of illustrator FJ Tripp, has decided to make changes that take into account a new understanding of sensitivity in diversity issues.
