Police officers from Essen and Dresden searched an apartment in the south of Essen together on Saturday. The raid apparently has to do with the jewel robbery from the Green Vault in Dresden.

More than two years after the spectacular theft of jewels from the historic Green Vault in Dresden, the police searched a house in the south of Essen. Security circles confirmed to MDR and the German Press Agency that the raid was related to the investigation into the Green Vault.

Forces from Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia were deployed. First, the “image” reported on searches on Saturday evening. The Dresden public prosecutor only confirmed that there was a search in meal have given.
