“The Rachel” is back! This is despite the fact that Jennifer Aniston once described her “Friends” hairstyle as the “ugliest haircut.”

At the sight of Jennifer Aniston (54) during the Golden Globes may have spontaneously heard the song “I’ll Be There For You” by The Rembrandts buzzing through the minds of many an onlooker. Finally, the actress surprised at the award ceremony with a hairstyle that was very close to her former hair from the series “Friends”. The shoulder-length cut with a side parting became so world-famous thanks to her role in the sitcom that it was simply given the title “The Rachel”.

Aniston wore a few centimeters more on her head than her popular figure Rachel Green at the awards ceremony. The fact that the slightly modified “The Rachel” comeback actually happened is more than surprising given old interviews with the actress. So the star left in 2011 in conversation with “Allure” no good hair on her hair – nor on stylist Chris McMillan, about whom she said: “[Er war] the bane of my existence because it started with that damn ‘Rachel’, which wasn’t my best look.”

“The ugliest haircut”

She found correspondingly clear words about the hairstyle itself: “How should I say it? I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen.” Even years later she had not changed her mind and described “The Rachel” as “horrible and high maintenance”. Three different brushes were used and the daily procedure felt like “having to perform an operation”. She “cursed Chris every time I had to use a hairdryer,” Aniston joked to Marie Claire magazine.

Almost ten years later, however, Aniston seems to have finally moved on from this opinion. At the Golden Globes, she and “The Rachel” seemed to be best friends again.
