The camera footage reveals how this came about: the video shows a man and a woman with a shopping cart in the parking lot. Suddenly, the man kicks the shopping cart, causing the car to collide with the Tesla. Then the couple just goes to the entrance of the supermarket.

The camera was filming because the owner had activated the so-called guard mode: According to Tesla, recordings of the environment are then saved even when the car is parked.
