Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday morning and immediately isolated himself, he announced on Twitter. The minister made the announcement while taking part in a visit to Rennes alongside Prime Minister Jean Castex.
“I have just tested positive for Covid,” the minister announced in a tweet, a few minutes after Jean Castex had revealed the information in a speech to the prefecture of Rennes. “In accordance with the health protocol in force, I isolate myself at the Quai d’Orsay for the time necessary and continue to work remotely,” added Le Drian, 74.
