The tweet from the Minister of National Education did not go unnoticed. Sunday, Jean-Michel Blanquer shared on his Twitter account a parody of the title Another brick in the wall of Pink Floyd, in which the singers campaign for face-to-face lessons. An initiative that has not failed to annoy, while the pandemic continues to rage in schools.
No background information accompanies this English-captioned video, which was shot in California, according to BFMTV. The title, renamed “Another window on Zoom”, “One more window on Zoom”. “We hate online education, we really feel like we have lost control, we no longer remember math and physics, if only they would leave us alone (…) Staying at home for so long, c ‘is so unfair and so cruel,’ sings this collective of adults, translated by BFM.

21,000 contaminations in one week
Then it is the children who resume in chorus: “We just need to learn in the flesh. You can’t be on the Internet all day. We want to see our friends at school. We can no longer stay at home (…) At the end of the day, we are just one more window on Zoom. ”An initiative much criticized on Twitter, where Internet users have signaled their dissatisfaction with the hashtag #BlanquerSors. Several personalities have spoken, such as Jean-Rémi Girard, president of the National Union of high schools and colleges (Snalc), or the first secretary of the socialist party Olivier Faure.

Nationally, the number of students infected with the coronavirus has further increased in one week, from more than 15,000 to more than 21,000 (a rate of 0.17% against 0.13% a week ago). The number of contaminated personnel is also up from 1,809 to 2,515, or 0.22%. In Seine-Saint-Denis, the department where the coronavirus incidence rate is the highest in France, other teachers exercised their right of withdrawal at the end of last week, such as at the Politzer college in La Courneuve.
