Jean-Michel Aulas moved by the tributes during OL-Reims

Jean-Michel Aulas, after 36 years at the helm of OL, was celebrated by his club and his public for Lyon’s last home game this season. Tributes were already raining since the announcement of his departure on May 8. But facing Reims, the ex-president had a new batch of celebrations in his honor.

He spent the first period in the presidential stand, before joining the Bad Gones in the North bend in second. Surrounded by the most fervent Lyon supporters, he let himself be taken by emotion during OL’s third goal, scored like a symbol by a player from the academy, Maxence Caqueret.

At the end of the match, during his lap of honour, his name was chanted and applauded by the entire OL park. Fireworks were then set off to give the most beautiful celebration possible. The club also shared a final tribute video on its social networks, retracing his 36 years in charge of the club.
